Christopher Robin Judson Worth, PhD

Christopher Robin Judson Worth is a fine artist, researcher, community educator, and community organizer with more than twenty years of experience. As a person with cerebral palsy, he is a proud member of the disability community.

Additionally, he earned a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Education from University of Missouri–St. Louis with an emphasis in teaching and learning processes. His research interests include the impact of risk-taking on the development of the story of self for emerging adults with disabilities. He is particularly interested in identity formation and the role creativity plays in helping people develop comfort with risk. Chris currently has three published works around the dignity of risk, with four papers currently in preprint.

He also does national consulting work that includes training and additional scholarly work for various clients.

Chris has continued utilizing his training from Marshall University in fine art/painting through the creation of art works, but also by applying a creative lens to all of his other work. He has paintings held by the Missouri Historical Society; he has work in Japan, and work that is held in numerous private collections. He is currently working on a set of drawings that translate some of the work that he is doing around dignity of risk into visual representations.
